An autopsy was completed yesterday on Randy Savage and the cause of death is still "pending," reports TMZ.com.

TMZ.com adds that the Medical Examiner in Pinellas County, Florida did not notice "extensive trauma" to his body while conducting the autopsy.

Toxicology results are expected to be released in four to six weeks. It was previously reported that the police didn't suspect that drugs or alcohol were involved.

Savage died in a car accident Friday in Seminole, Florida when his 2009 Jeep Wrangler veered across a concrete median, through oncoming traffic, and "collided head-on with a tree."

Savage was pronounced dead at Largo Medical Center while his wife Barbara Lynn suffered minor injuries.

WWE paid tribute to the late Randy Savage on Raw with an “In Memory of” graphic at the beginning of the show and a video package showcasing his career prior to the evening’s main event.

The package highlighted his legendary match with Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat at WrestleMania XXVII, on-screen relationship with Miss Elizabeth, trademark mannerisms and other career milestones.

Prior to the airing of the video, Jerry Lawler said of the wrestling legend, “Savage will always be a Hall of Famer, no matter what.”

More details following the death of one of the greatest wrestlers of all time "Macho Man" Randy Savage have been revealed. Savage's brother Lanny Poffo recently had an exclusive interview with Bright House Sports Network. During the interview he stated that Savage passed away from a condition known as ventricular fibrilation (VF). VF is a severely abnormal heart rythm that can lead to fainting or heart attacks. Authorities have determined that "Macho Man" Randy Savage died of cardiovascular disease, reports TMZ.com and St. Petersburg Times.

Savage, whose real name is Randy Mario Poffo, suffered a serious "cardiac event" moments before crashing his vehicle into a tree in Seminole, Florida on May 20. Savage was taken to Largo Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

An autopsy by the Pinellas-Pasco Medical Examiner's Office revealed Savage had an enlarged heart with severe atherosclerosis of his coronary arteries. He suffered only minor abrasions and bruising from the crash.

The cause of death was determined to be Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease; the deadly "cardiac event" resulted from the condition.

Savage tested positive for alcohol and hydrocodone during the time of his death, but neither played a role in his passing.

The results of the autopsy were released by the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office on Thursday.
