Adevarul este ca Metal-ul are origini din Rock dar in prezent Heavy Metal e una iar Rock e alta.

"Rock" e o chestie abstracta,nu exista nicio formatie a carei muzica sa fie clasificata drept "rock".Exista hard rock,glam rock,indie rock,garage rock,pregressive rock dar "rock" nu exista ca gen.

^Alternative rock, industrial rock, british rock.

Probabil ca multi cunosc asta deja, dar rock-ul este genul muzical care are cele mai multe sub-genuri. Orice inseamna un vocal, o chitara, un bass si un set de tobe se numeste rock. Ca face parte dintr-un anumit sub-gen e altceva.
